Uzbek and Kazakh leaders to hold talks in Almaty
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Almaty on 29 March to participate in an informal high-level meeting.
During the talks, which will involve delegations from both countries, discussions will focus on further strengthening Uzbek-Kazakh relations in the areas of good-neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance. Additionally, key international and regional issues will be addressed.
Special attention will be given to expanding cooperation in trade and economic sectors, industrial collaboration, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, and water management. The agenda also includes discussions on enhancing interregional ties and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
Notably, a similar bilateral meeting between the two leaders took place in early April last year in Khiva.
