The flat was rented by its owners and was used by tenants as a terminal. Residents of Sobir Rahimov district, Maqsud Mullayev and Javohir Azizov, who were detained there [in the flat] played a role of accomplices. Organizers of the crime were captured soon afterwards as a result of urgent investigation. They turned out to be Tajik citizens, Bahodir Mahmudkhujayev born in 1971 and Kamoliddin Rajabov born in 1968. Both of them are natives of [Tajik northern town of] Khujand in Sughd Region and have been staying in our country illegally.

The unfortunate flat was rented by Bahodir Mahmudkhujayev who turned out to be the organizer of heroin trafficking via Uzbekistan. He intended to smuggle the drugs to Kazakhstan and Russia.

According to the National Security Service, the Tajik native, Bahodir Mahmudkhujayev, has appeared many times in cases investigated by special forces of the above mentioned countries.

Criminal charges are brought against the detained suspects. Investigation is under way.
