On 17 July 2007, UzAvtoYul state company announced an international tender. The company invites local and foreign producers and suppliers, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises to a tender for delivery of road-repair equipment for the current repairs and maintenance of motor roads.

The tender consists of 15 lots and the goods are grouped under each lot. Bidders will have the right to submit offers for any of the lots individually or for all together.

The state-owned concern specialized in the construction and maintenance of motor roads, UzAutoYol, was founded on 26 January 1993. It is an organization responsible for the projection (planning), building and maintenance of motor roads, bridges, road infrastructure objects in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It unites the organizations and enterprises specialized in the construction and exploitation of motor roads, including the utility-support and service divisions, project-research and geological exploration institutes, divisions responsible for production and combination of all types of modern materials for the construction of motor roads, bridges, airports, and other structures, as well as materials for the organization of power transmission lines, irrigation structures and systems.

In other words, by the international standards the concern can be viewed as the Uzbek national road administration.
