UzACI: Uzdunrobita failed to eliminate all shortages
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) stated that Uzdunrobita FE LLC (MTS Uzbekistan trade mark) did not eliminate all shortages.

At its official website Russian MTS said: “as of 17 July 2012, Uzdunrobita has promptly and fully complied with all orders and requirements of the State Inspection of Communication of Uzbekistan (SIC), in particular regarding the operation of base stations and fiber-optic communication lines. MTS unequivocally believes that the suspension of the license is without proper basis and constitutes a breach of MTS’s rights under local and international law.”

The UzACI said that analysis of the results of monitoring and information, provided by Uzdunrobita, showed that the operator did not eliminate all shortages, indicated in orders of controlling bodies.

The agency said that the State Communication Inspection in its order from 6 July 2012 indicated equipment, which were working without permission documents and demanded from Uzdunrobita to commission all constructed telecommunication objects (optic fiber lines, radio rely lines, basic stations, etc) in line with the legislation. Instead of holding complex study of all used equipment and telecommunication establishments to adherence to legislation, the operator only switched off equipment, listed in order of the State Communication Inspection.

UzACI said that it is worth to mention that analysis of execution of the orders of the controlling bodies, some facts of violation of legislative acts were founded.

In particular, the company used optic-fiber communication lines in two areas of Samarkand without commissioning objects to the state commission. It also used illegally microwave lines in Tashkent city and Tashkent region.

Based on these facts, the UzACI said that MTS statement is not accurate and it bears responsibility for its content. After Uzdunrobita failed to implement orders of the State Communication Inspection, the decision in line with the legislation of Uzbekistan was adopted, the UzACI said.
