The UzACI said that Uzbek President Islam Karimov, speaking at the ceremony dedicated to 18th anniversary of Constitution of Uzbekistan, said that support of small and private business is one of the main factors for developing economy.

The meeting was aimed at developing proposals on further developing small businesses and private entrepreneurship to include them into the State Programme “The Year of small business and private entrepreneurship”, which is currently under development.

Expanding social base of undergoing reforms, the sector of economy crates necessary competition, ensures fast respond to changes of market developments, fill niche in consumer sector, helps to create additional jobs.

The UzACI noted that over 70 specialists of companies, engaged in developing software and local IT-companies, participated at the event.

The participants discussed issue of supporting software industry, normative-legal support of industry development. The participants also shared their proposals on developing software industry, multimedia content and geoinformation services.
