Use of injecting drugs on rise in Central Asia – INCB report
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) said sharp growth of use of injecting drugs in Central Asian states.

New issued report said about 172-250 million people in the world use drugs in last 12 months, largest share of which used cannabis.

The report underlined that use of opiates is on rise in the countries, which are used as main routes for Afghan drug trafficking.

Central Asian states are among countries, where use of injecting drugs is increasing. The report explains this with use of Central Asian states as transit route for Afghan heroin, which is supplied to Russia and European states.
