US Special Envoy for Afghan Reconciliation to visit Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A US delegation led by Special Representative for Afghan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad arrives in Tashkent on 10 April, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

During the visit, officials of Uzbekistan and the United States will exchange views on the situation in Afghanistan and the prospects for launching the mechanism of inter-Afghan peace talks.

The sides will discuss the implementation of socio-economic and infrastructure projects in Afghanistan initiated by Uzbekistan.
