On behalf of the US government, Marc Grossman highly rated active participation of Uzbekistan in social-economic development of Afghanistan. Construction of first railway from Hairatan to Mazar-e-Sharif, bridges, roads and social objects can serve as example.

Thanks to supply of electricity from Uzbekistan, today Kabul has stable electricity supply. The Afghan companies also received assistance in laying optic-fiber cable, which helped Afghanistan to join global telecommunication market.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said that during the meeting the sides exchanged opinion on other aspects of multilateral Uzbek-US relations, which represent mutual interest.
