Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The press service of the Tashkent City Administration has officially denied social media rumors suggesting the imminent closure of the Urikzor trading complex due to alleged reconstruction plans.

City officials emphasized that no construction or renovation work is currently taking place at the market, and all commercial and other facilities are operating as usual — daily and without interruption.

“The claims about liquidation, demolition, or reconstruction of the complex do not reflect reality,” the press service stated.

Earlier, videos circulated on social media warning that Urikzor would soon be closed, with advice for tenants to begin looking for new trading spaces.

Shortly after, several unofficial sources began posting video rebuttals, and now the city authorities have formally confirmed that the market will continue operating normally.
