UNIStream said that the service will allow customers to transfer remittances just naming full name of recipient and destination country. The company will also continue to provide address transfers, which will make UNIStream as only player of the market offering advantages of both address and addressless transfers.
UNISTREAM director-general Souren Hayriyan said: “Introducing addressless transfers, we expect full success as advantages are clear. Customer can receive remittance in any part of the country, which simplifies process.”
He added that UNISTREAM does not want to remove address transfer, which loved by the customers. Some people prefer to receive at those points, where they usually withdraw remittances. “We do not want to deprive them from this opportunity and we introduced option. That’s why, UNISTREAM became the first system, which works with both address and addressless transfers,” Hayriyan said.
Introducing a new combination of services, UNIStream maintains active all the recently offered tariff options, particularly, 0% tariffs in case of transfers in national currency, 1% tariffs in CIS if the remittance transferred from the points of UNIStream and Uniastrum Bank.
At the same time, the tariffs for addressless transfers range between 1.3% and 2%, depending on the size of the transfer. The company said the bigger transfer size, the customers pay less interest rates.
Currently, over 15,000 service points, working in partnership with over 250 financial institutions, operate in Russia and the CIS. The system controls over 56% of market, 37% in Kyrgyz Republic, 24% in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and 38% in Moldavia. Currently, a quarter of all transfers in the CIS fell to share of UNISTREAM.
