UNISTREAM and Agrobank completes integration project in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- International money transfer system UNISTREAM and Agrobank open joint stock commercial bank (Uzbekistan) successfully realized integration project and launched money transfer system in branches of the bank.

Agrobank has developed network in Uzbekistan, which opens opportunities for customers to send and receive remittances in 72 offices of the partner-bank in all regions o Uzbekistan. The operation currency at Agrobank is US dollars.

Max Ognev, UNISTREAM PR-director, commented: “Uzbekistan is one of the country, where we realized programme on development fully and offer customers remittance services of the high level. At the same time, Uzbekistan holds one of the leading places on the volume of money transfers from Russia.”

“In connection with this, we are planning actively develop UNISTREAM services further in Uzbekistan and the CIS as a whole. The system is open for new integration projects and extremely active in development of partnership network in post-Soviet areas.”

He added that UNISTREAM has good coverage in Uzbekistan today. The system has 1,000 points, of which 250 in Tashkent and 60 in Samarkand.

At the same time, UNISTREAM offers unique combination of address and addressless transfers in Uzbekistan as long as in whole CIS. The sender has opportunity to choose concrete operation point or any branch of UNISTREAM in receiving country.

The company started actively introduce new product – unified client card. The card is directed at increasing convenience and effectiveness works. The card includes all data about client and recent transactions, which will allow to decrease operation time. Besides, the company plans to hold draw of prizes among cardholders at all partner banks in the CIS and other countries.

UNISTREAM said it will actively introduce cards in Uzbekistan, where the system controls over quarter of all transactions’ number.

In the first half of 2010, the number of transactions made up 420,000 or rose by 10% year-on-year. Overall, UNISTREAM has about 16,000 service points and works with 250 financial institutions.
