At the meeting, the sides considered issues of cooperation within the joint project of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and UNDP “Local Governance Support: Participation and Partnership”.

The main directions of the project are to hold research on optimization of taxes and preferences, use of ICT in taxation and activities of the state bodies, and organization of online courses in cooperation with Tax Academy and Academy of Public Administration.

Underlining positive results of cooperation between the UNDP and the State Tax Committee, the sides noted that they could develop cooperation in such areas as development and introduction of modern technologies to tax administration, increase number of interactive services of the tax bodies to individuals and businesses, as well as introduction of one-stop-shop, improve training and re-training tax officers, etc.
