Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Uzbekistan has appointed its new ambassador to Cuba. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.

Ulugbek Lapasov has been named the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Cuba. On November 19, he presented his credentials to Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Josefina Vidal Ferreiro.

Since August 2023, Lapasov has served as Uzbekistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. Prior to this, he worked as the Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva.
