On 16 June 2011, Ucell launched new packages Margilan and Semurg dedicated to new Ucell corporate brand identity. This is unique product in the market of Uzbekistan, which was launched in cooperation with Samsung Electronics.

During press conference in Tashkent, representatives of Ucell, Samsung Electronics and Google TUG presented detailed information about new packages, Samsung smartphones and Android operation system.

Ucell PR manager Bekhzod Rakhmatov said that Ucell always intends to introduce new technologies in Uzbekistan. He recalled that Ucell became the first operator in Uzbekistan, which offered packages with mobile handsets from ZTE and Huawei. “Now, we offer mobile handsets of Samsung Electronics, one of global leaders on production of mobile devices,” he added.

Bekhzod Rakhmatov stated that the company understands that demands of subscribers to price and functionality of mobile hands are different and Ucell want to satisfy their demands. He said that the company will consider issues of establishing cooperation with other producers as well.

Package Marginal includes Samsung Galaxy S I9003 (Latona) smartphone with Android 2.2 (Froyo) operation system. The handset has 5 megapixel camera with auto focus, Super Clear LCD display, as well as all communication functionalities - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and others.

Besides, the subscribers will receive SIM-card for any prepaid tariff plan with US$200 bonus on their account. The bonuses can be spent for calls within Ucell network, SMS and MMS within Uzbekistan and Ucell Internet service. The bonus will be active for 30 days from subscription day. The cost of the package is 1.249 million soums.

Package Simurg includes Samsung Galaxy Асе S5830 smartphone with Android 2.2 (Froyo) operation system. The phone has 5 megapixel camera, TFT display, as well as all communication functionalities - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and others.

The subscribers will also receive SIM-card for any prepaid tariff plan with US$150 bonus on their account and 2GB SD-card. The bonuses can be spent for calls within Ucell network, SMS and MMS within Uzbekistan and Ucell Internet service. The bonus will be active for 30 days from subscription day. The cost of the package is 839,000 soums.

It is worth to mention that both Samsung Galaxy Асе and Samsung Galaxy S are fully customized under Ucell brand, including logo at switching on and off, Ucell ringtones, wallpapers, Internet/MMS settings, applications, etc.

Subscribers can buy Margilan and Semurg packages at own office of Ucell and official dealer points. The prices include VAT.
