Ucell offers 3G roaming service to its subscribers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- COSCOM, mobile operator in Uzbekistan rendering services under Ucell brand, said now its subscribers can use 3G roaming service abroad.

The operator said subscribers, using 3G handset, USB-modem or other devise, can receive access to high-speed data transfer service at networks of 35 partners in 31 countries.

Currently, Ucell subscribers can carry out calls in international roaming at the networks of 267 operators in 126 countries.

The operator launched GPRS roaming in 2009 and now the service is available in networks of 83 operators in 57 states. The service allows to use mobile Internet, send and receive email and MMS.

Ucell offers CAMEL (Customized Applications for Mobile Enhanced Logic) roaming services, which allows to use roaming at any positive balance. Currently, Ucell offers this service at networks of 43 operators in 35 states.

COSCOM was founded in 1996. From June 2008, it presents mobile communication service under Beeline brand. At the end of 2009, its subscriber base exceeded 5 million.

Ucell enters to TeliaSonera, one of the largest telecommunication operators in Europe. TeliaSonera holds interests in mobile operators in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldavia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Nepal and Cambodia. It also hold minority shares in MegaFon (Russia) and Turkcell (Turkey).
