Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Tashkent, sentences were passed on two people detained as part of operational measures to improve the criminal situation in the capital.
The Mirzo-Ulugbek District Court sentenced 39-year-old Alibek Fayziev to 12 years in prison. He was found guilty under Articles 28 (complicity in a crime), 246 (smuggling of weapons of mass destruction), 25 (attempted crime) and 273 (illegal sale of narcotic drugs) of the Criminal Code.
In turn, by the decision of the Yakkasaray District Court, 34-year-old Olimjon Amonov was sentenced to four years in prison. He was found guilty under Article 276 (illegal manufacture, storage, acquisition, transportation or transfer of narcotic drugs or their analogues without the purpose of sale, committed on a large scale) of the Criminal Code.
