Turkmen President expressed words of deep sorrow and support to relatives and friends of victims and injured persons.
As reported earlier, the earthquake was registered at 0:35 on 20 July 2011. The epicenter was in neighboring Kyrgyz Republic.
Tashkent Seismic station said that magnitude of earthquake in the Uzbek capital, Ferghana and Namangan made up 5, Termez - 4 and Samarkand - 3.
The epicenter of earthquake was in Kyrgyz Republic, 227 km to south east from Tashkent, 43 km from Ferghana, 60 km from Qoqand and 98 km from Namangan and its magnitude was 6.5-7.
According to the Emergency Ministry of Uzbekistan, the earthquake damaged some buildings in Rishtan, Bagdad and Uzbekistan districts of Ferghana region, eastern Uzbekistan.
As a result, 13 people died, and 86 were provided with emergency medical aid, while 35 of them were hospitalized.
