Expressing gratitude for allocated time, the guest handed over warm welcomes from Uzbek President Islam Karimov to Turkmen leader and congratulated with the 15th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.

Vladimir Norov said Uzbekistan supports peaceful policy, which is based on neutral status, of Turkmenistan.

Turkmen President expressed his best wishes to President Islam Karimov and underlined adherence of Turkmenistan to friendly and good neighborhood relations, as well as fruitful cooperation with Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on priority issues of bilateral partnership and noted that there are great opportunities for expanding mutual beneficial contacts on all directions. The sides underlined high level of inter-governmental relations and expressed hope for further successful developing Turkmen-Uzbek dialogue, which is constructed on principle of mutual respect, equality and respecting mutual interests.
