Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Türkiye has reached the quarter-finals of Euro 2024, defeating Austria with a score of 2:1.
Early in the match, in the first minute, Turkish defender Merih Demiral scored the first goal.
In the 59th minute, Turkish midfielder Arda Güler made a pass to the near post, where Merih Demiral doubled his team’s advantage.
Seven minutes later, the Austrians managed to respond with a goal scored by Michael Gregoritsch after a pass from defender Stefan Posch.
In the quarter-finals of the tournament, Türkiye will play against the Netherlands.
