Turkey records new 7.7 magnitude earthquake

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An earthquake of magnitude 7.7 struck the central part of Turkey. This was reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center. Tremors occurred at 15.24 Tashkent time.

According to data on its website, the earthquake’s epicenter was located 26 kilometers from the city of Gaziantep, which has a population of over a million people. The source was located at a depth of only 10 kilometers.

About 10 minutes later, another earthquake struck nearby. Its center also lay at a depth of 10 kilometers, but the epicenter is located aside - 37 kilometers from the city of Bakhche. So far, there have been no reports of casualties or damage.
