Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — US presidential candidate from the Republican Party, Donald Trump, declared victory in the US presidential election during a speech to his supporters in Florida.
He thanked the American people, stating, “This is a political victory like our country has never seen before. It is an extraordinary honor to be chosen as your 47th and 45th president.”
Trump promised that his presidency would mark a true "golden age" in US history.
"I’m not going to start a war. I’m going to stop wars," Trump said, speaking from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
He emphasized his goal of building strong armed forces but noted that ideally, they would never need to be used. He also added that during his previous presidency from 2017 to 2021, the US did not engage in any wars, which he considered a significant achievement.
To win the US presidential election, a candidate must secure at least 270 out of 538 electoral votes.
According to Fox News' projections, Trump has secured 277 votes, ensuring his victory. His opponent, Democratic Party's Kamala Harris, has only received 226 votes.
