The volume of market services by all types of activity in January-June 2007 was 5,808.7 billion soums, including 1,291.4 billion soums of the rural area, or 22.2% of the total volume of rendered services, according to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
As compared to the corresponding period of the previous year the real increase of services was 24.5%. The highest growth rates were achieved in the following services: communication and information, including services of information and resource centers (148.9%), repair of cars and other equipment (135.6%), transport (127.2%) and financial, including microcredit granting (123.5%).
The following services prevailed in the structure of services: transport (35.6%), trade and catering (19.2%), communal (16.7%), communication and information, including services of information and resource centers (5.9%) and financial, including microcredit granting (5.1%).
