Traffic police officers to have wearable cameras

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 July 2019, all inspectors of the road patrol service will be required to have wearable cameras during their service.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan approved a regulation on the procedure for regulating the traffic police relations with road users and the use of special devices.

The document noted that from 1 July 2019, all traffic police officers must be equipped with video cameras and notify drivers about this.

In turn, drivers get the right not to show a document to a traffic police officer if he do not have a camera.

Also, traffic police officers will be obliged to demonstrate radar to violators of speed limits and, upon request, to the device certificate.
