He said that trade turnover between two states made up US$1.6 billion in the first half of 2013.
It was noted that bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan develop dynamically and gradually based on equal partnership.
It was stated that mutual agreements, reached during the meetings of various levels, shows high level of interaction between two states.
In this context, the agreement on strategic partnership, signed within the official visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev on 13-14 June 2013, should lift bilateral relations to new quality level.
Valihan Turehanov said Kazakhstan is one of leading trade partners of Uzbekistan and holds the third place in total foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan after Russia and China.
He also noted that the sides are also developing cultural-humanitarian cooperation. The sides are organizing various events in this direction, including Cinema Days, concerts, etc.
