Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The beginning of the new year is the time for major tourism fairs in Europe. These days they are held in the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Uzbekistan is represented at these two events by the diplomatic mission of our country in the Benelux states, as well as by local tour companies, Dunyo reports. 

So, in the Dutch city of Utrecht from 15 to 19 January, the next 50th international tourism fair “Vakantiebeurs - 2020” is held, in which about 1150 national and international travel agencies and airlines from more than 90 countries take part.

Tours to Uzbekistan are represented by the large Dutch tourist companies Central Asia Reizen, Sunita Travel, VNC Asia Travel, Fox Verre Reizen, Djoser, Dim Sum Reizen, Koningaap, Tiara Tours "And" Sawadee. " The national travel company Canaan Travel took part in the event.

In Luxembourg, tours to Uzbekistan were presented at the 29th Vakanz exhibition, which was launched the day before at the LuxExpo exposition center by the Belgian and German tour operators Sensations Travel Designer and Ikarus Tours.

During the presentations, visitors and exhibitors were able to familiarize themselves with detailed information about the modern development of Uzbekistan, its rich historical and cultural heritage, and tourism opportunities. He was offered various directions, including ecological, pilgrimage, medical, winter, mountain tourism and other types of recreation.

Presentations aroused great interest and admiration of the guests of the fairs, who willingly shared their impressions.

- We publish a huge number of publications about various countries around the world in Dutch. This year we plan to release a new guide devoted to Uzbekistan. This requires increasing interest in your country and region. This is evidenced by the number of European companies organizing tours in the heart of the Great Silk Road. Fortunately, we found people who have already started writing this guide. We are glad of this and are sure that many Dutch travelers will visit Uzbekistan and enjoy their stay in your country.

The director of the department of outbound tourism of Canaan Travel, Yulia Bekirova told IA Dunyo about the results of a three-day participation in the fair:

- For the days that we are participating in the exhibition, a huge number of people visited our booth. Many of them had not heard before, or knew very little about Uzbekistan. But there were those who had already visited our country. They shared their impressions, said that they were very pleased that they had traveled to Uzbekistan.

Due to the fact that the leadership of our country made the right decision on the abolition of entry visas for tourists from many countries, their flow to the republic has increased significantly. Moreover, this contributed to the popularization of the tourist brand of Uzbekistan.

This exhibition is very productive. Among our tour operators in the Netherlands, there is a huge interest in the Uzbek market, as well as the Central Asian market as a whole. Therefore, we decided to clearly move in this direction. Our company already has its own program for promoting our tourism product in the European market.
