Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 24 to 27 November 2022, the OIC HALAL EXPO 2022 exhibition and the World Halal Summit International Conference were held in Istanbul, Turkiye.

At the exhibition, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan presented the “National Pavilion of Uzbekistan”, demonstrating the tourism potential of the country, as well as manufacturers and suppliers of halal products.

It should be noted that during the exhibition, guests from America, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, who visited the National Pavilion of Uzbekistan, showed great interest in agricultural products grown in Uzbekistan. In addition, international food trading platforms and companies submitted proposals for cooperation.

Within the framework of the exhibition, an international competition of chefs was held.

In the competition, participants from Uzbekistan took prizes: Abu Khuraira Toychikhojaev won 2 silver medals in the nomination "modern cuisine - meat dish and fish dish", Elyorbek Mirboboev - 1 silver medal in the nomination "modern cuisine - meat dish", Shokhruzhon Ibragimov - 1 bronze medal in the nomination "fish dishes".

In addition, negotiations were held on holding an exhibition in Uzbekistan in the coming years.
