The event was attended by an Uzbek delegation headed by First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Development of Tourism Ravshan Usmanov and representatives of more than 40 tourist companies of France.

The participants were informed about tourism potential of Uzbekistan, conditions created for foreign tourists in the republic and the state policy on improving the tourist infrastructure.

It was noted that Uzbekistan has a significant potential for development of international tourism, a huge historical and cultural heritage, which includes more than 7,000 historical, architectural and archaeological monuments, reflecting the centuries-old history and culture of the peoples of Central Asia.

Particular attention was paid to the fact that the available recreational resources allow to develop all types of tourism and receive guests year-round. Uzbekistan is able to offer a wide range of services for lovers of cultural and educational tourism, as well as active recreation.

The participants received information about the Tashkent International Tourism Fair "Tourism on the Silk Road", which will be held in Uzbek capital city on 3-5 October 2017.

During the event, productive business meetings were held between tourist companies of Uzbekistan and France.
