Tough task awaits Tilal
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Yemen side Al Tilal are looking to get their AFC Cup campaign off the mark on Tuesday but it will be no easy task when they welcome Nasaf Karshi to Al Tilal Stadium.

The hosts' opening Group A game ended in a 2-1 defeat against Dempo in Goa as Tesfaye Tafese's goal 13 minutes from time was not enough to see Al Tilal go on and snatch a point.

Kebede Seyoum's men suffered somewhat of a hangover from that result in the form of a 2-1 league defeat at Al Sha'ab Sana'a but got back on track with a 3-0 win over Al Shabab Al Bayda'a, a result that sees them topping the standings by one point from Al Urooba going into Tuesday's encounter with Nasaf.

They will need to transfer the confidence gained from their domestic form on to the continental stage when they take on Nasaf, who impressed in brushing aside Lebanese side Al Ansar 3-0 at Karshi Central Stadium in Uzbekistan two weeks ago.

Andrejs Pereplotkins was the architect of Nasaf's triumph, scoring one and creating another for Ivan Boksovic and Al Tilal will need to keep an eye on the talented Latvian if they are to contain the visitors.

However, Boksovic and Artur Gevorkyan will also have to be well policed if Nasaf are to be nullified as an attacking threat in Aden.

Having also won their opening two games in the Uzbekistan Oliy Liga, Nasaf approach the fixture in buoyant mood and will be hungry for three points to take back to Central Asia to put themselves in pole position in Group A and move another step closer to surpassing last season's appearance in the Round of 16, where they were edged out by Syria's Al Karamah.
