Top gas stations in Uzbekistan recognized for quality service

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Systematic efforts to develop tourism infrastructure and enhance its contribution to regional economies continue across Uzbekistan.

With growing tourist flows, the creation of modern sanitary and hygiene facilities along major tourist routes and highways is becoming increasingly important. These facilities meet international standards, including accessibility for people with disabilities.

On April 17, the Tourism Committee hosted a ceremony to award the “Quality Service” certificates to the best gas stations in the country, including:

CNG filling stations (compressed natural gas)

LNG filling stations (liquefied natural gas)

Traditional fuel stations

These businesses were recognized for their responsible approach to providing additional services for both residents and tourists.

Chairman of the Tourism Committee, Umid Shadiev, noted:
“From 2017 to 2025, over 10,000 modern restroom facilities have been built or upgraded across Uzbekistan. Nearly half of them are located at gas stations. While only 20% of fuel stations met regulatory standards in 2019, today that figure exceeds 95%, thanks to joint efforts between the state and the private sector.”

The winners were selected based on evaluations conducted by national and regional working groups. For the first time in 2025, designated the “Year of Environmental Protection and the Green Economy,” an award was also given to the station with the best ecological zone — its practices are now recommended as a model for replication.

Certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts were also presented to:

Active members of the national working group

Regional tourism officials who ensured effective coordination at the local level

The event highlighted the importance of state-business cooperation in creating comfortable infrastructure for both citizens and visitors of the country.
