Three airlines begin operations in Navoi

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Navoi has welcomed operations from three airlines—Latvia’s SmartLynx Airlines, Britain’s Titan Airways, and Uzbekistan’s FlyKhiva—in a significant development for cargo air transport in the region.

On 12 September 2024, Titan Airways, a British charter airline, launched its first flight on the route from Chongqing (China) to Navoi (Uzbekistan) to London (United Kingdom). The flights will operate four times a week using Airbus A330 aircraft, with a technical stop in Navoi. Titan Airways is renowned for its corporate and business travel services.

On 17 September 2024, Latvia’s SmartLynx Airlines commenced flights on the route from Varna (Bulgaria) to Navoi to Dhaka (Bangladesh) using Airbus A321 aircraft. Seven charter flights are planned with this stop by the end of September. SmartLynx specializes in aircraft leasing with crew (ACMI) and operates a fleet of 70 aircraft.

Uzbekistan’s FlyKhiva launched flights on 18 September 2024, on the route from Ezhou (China) to Liège (Belgium), also with a technical stop in Navoi. The flights will be operated four times a week using Boeing 767-300 aircraft. FlyKhiva is based in Urgench and is part of the Fly Khiva Group.

All three airlines contribute to strengthening Navoi Airport’s position as a crucial hub for cargo air transport.
