Thomas Brdarić recently visited Tashkent to familiarize with the infrastructure of Bunyodkor, the club underlined.

During his visit to Tashkent, Thomas Brdarić visited JAR Stadium and new sporting complex, which is under construction now. He also held talks with the First Vice President and director-general Bahram Davlatov and manager Mirjalol Kasimov, director of football school Aleksander Lushan, as well as other specialists.

German specialists familiarized with the club infrastructure and held meetings with parents of players of Bunyodkor football school.

Bahram Davlatov said that Thomas Brdarić was satisfied with the visit and the sides discussed issues of future cooperation. He added that the sides signed a protocol of intention, in line with which Brdarić will be responsible for sporting activities of the club and help to organize sporting work of all teams – from school to the first team.

“We hope that Thomas Brdarić will introduce European trends and help to lift performance of the club to new level,” Davlatov told to official website of the club.

Tashkent club said that Brdarić will return to Uzbekistan in early January to sign contract and start his work as sporting director of Bunyodkor. He will be presented as new member of Bunyodkor team in January, it added.

Thomas Brdarić played in various clubs of Bundesliga, including VfL Wolfsburg, Hannover 96, Bayer Leverkusen and others. He played for Germany national team in 2002-2004. He moves to Tashkent from Belarus, where he worked as sporting director of Dinamo Minsk.
