The World Bank to give its recommendations on development of the concept of a new open data portal in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications (MITC) is working on development of open data in the country and improvement of the Open Data Portal of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In this regard, the World Bank Group mission visited the e-government center (Center) to study the state of the open data ecosystem and to further prepare a roadmap.

The meeting was attended by consultants of the bank Stela Luka, Irina Tisakova, headed by the chief specialist on reengineering of Moldova, Vlad Manoil, representatives of the OSCE Office in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Finance, as well as management and staff of the Center.

The main purpose of the visit is to study the state of the open data ecosystem and further prepare a development roadmap to promote the open data initiative in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the First Deputy Director of the Center Daniyar Atajanov spoke about the current state of development of open data in Uzbekistan. Representatives of the World Bank, in turn, shared their experiences in the field of open data.

The participants discussed the priorities for further bilateral cooperation, in particular the guests gave their recommendations on the draft concept of the further development of open data in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
