The winners of the "Parliamentary Games" were awarded

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Senate of the Oliy Majlis, together with the Ministry for the Development of Sports, organized sports competitions "Parliamentary Games" for the Cup of the Chairman of the Senate among deputies of local Kengashes of people’s deputies, members of the Youth Parliament, senators and employees of the Senate apparatus.

The proposal of the deputies of the Parliament of Uzbekistan and senators on the sports competitions "Parliamentary Games" was supported in the resolution of the President "On measures for the widespread introduction of a healthy lifestyle and the further development of mass sports."

The main goal of the competition was to attract senators and deputies of local Kengashes of people’s deputies, members of the Youth Parliament under the Senate to regular physical education and sports, promote a healthy lifestyle among the population, popularize and further develop sports.

Competitions in the republic were held in 3 stages in sports: mini-football, volleyball, badminton and table tennis. In particular, the first stage at the regional level was held in June of this year among teams consisting of deputies of district (city) Kengashes of people’s deputies, the second stage at the regional level was held in July among the teams that won first places in the region.

4.5 thousand deputies took part in the regional stage of the competition. 420 of them are women.

The third final stage of the sports competitions "Parliamentary Games" among the teams that won first places in the regions was held on 27 August 2022 in the sports complex "JAR" in the city of Tashkent. In the final stage, a total of 200 deputies from the regions fought for victory. The arbitrators of the competitions were professional mini-football, volleyball, badminton and table tennis referees.

After an uncompromising struggle, the judges determined the winners.

According to the final results, the following sports teams took prizes:

For mini football:

1st place - the team of Jizzakh region

2nd place - the team of Tashkent region

3rd place - the team of the Republic of Karakalpakstan (Jokargy Kenes).

For volleyball:

1st place - the team of the Republic of Karakalpakstan

2nd place - the team of Tashkent region

3rd place - the team of Bukhara region

Men’s table tennis:

1st place - Umidjon Haydarov (Syrdarya region)

2nd place - Inomjon Boltabaev (Republic of Karakalpakstan)

3rd place - Shuratjon Ziyakhodjaev (Tashkent region)

Women’s table tennis:

1st place - Nafisa Ismatova (Jizzakh region)

2nd place - Gulzira Sidikova (Republic of Karakalpakstan)

3rd place - Gulbahor Kosimova (Andijan region)

Women’s badminton:

1st place - Luiza Babayeva (Kashkadarya region)

2nd place - Zukhra Reimova (Republic of Karakalpakstan)

3rd place - Masudakhon Gafarova (Navoi region)

The cups were presented to the winners of the competition by the Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Youth, Culture and Sports Bakhtiyor Saifullayev and the Head of the Senate Staff Abdusabit Ziyaev. The winners were also awarded memorable gifts from the Ministry of Sports Development and the Agency for Youth Affairs, medals, diplomas and gifts from the sponsor of the competition Nil-granit LLC (Samo).
