Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- For January-July 2020, the volume of foreign exchange sales by individuals reached US$2.5 billion, an increase of 50% or US$842 million over the same period of last year.
At the same time, the volume of purchases of foreign currency by individuals amounted to US$2 billion, which is 3 times more than in the corresponding period of last year (US$686 million).
As a result, the positive balance (net supply) on these transactions was US$501 million, which is US$489 million (or 49%) less than in the same period in 2019.
