Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of nonperforming loans (NPL) of commercial banks in Uzbekistan amounted to 15.05 trillion soums as of 1 March 2023, according to the data of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
According to the regulator, the loan portfolio of commercial banks in Uzbekistan as of 1 March 2023 was 397.64 trillion soums.
The share of nonperforming loans in the loan portfolio of banks reached 3.8%, according to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.
Nonperforming loans of the state banks of Uzbekistan amount to 13.64 trillion soums or 4.2% of the loan portfolio of banks.
National Bank (2.72 trillion soums), Khalq Bank (2.52 trillion soums) and Agrobank (1.81 trillion soums) are among the top three banks in terms of nonperforming loans.
In terms of the share of nonperforming loans in the loan portfolio of banks, the leaders are Uzagroexportbank (76.5% of the loan portfolio), Ravnak Bank (72.6%) and Khalq Bank (11.7%).
