Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data from the Agency on Statistics, in January-June 2023, about 50,000 tons of grapes were grown by farms of all categories in Uzbekistan.
This indicator increased by 2.7% compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
Surkhandarya region (29.2%) accounts for almost a third of the total volume of grapes grown in Uzbekistan. Also, a high proportion was recorded in Namangan (15.1%), Kashkadarya (12.4%), Bukhara (12.2%) and Samarkand (8.9%) regions.
The lowest share of grape production in the total volume falls on Karakalpakstan (0.7%) and Jizzakh region (1.4%).
