Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 May 2024, the volume of gold and foreign exchange reserves of Uzbekistan reached US$35.1 billion, according to data of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

According to the regulator, Uzbekistan’s gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by US$918 million in April.

The volume of foreign currency assets at the end of April 2024 amounted to US$8 billion, which is US$240 million less compared to the beginning of April.

The volume of deposits of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan in the central banks of other countries, as well as in the IMF, increased from US$388.8 million to US$416.4 million.

Uzbekistan’s gold reserves increased from US$25.37 billion to US$26.53 billion.

The physical volume of gold in April remained at 11.5 million troy ounces.
