Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of allocated mortgage loans in Uzbekistan in January-September 2023 reached 12.21 trillion soums. This was stated in the report of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan. The growth of mortgage loans compared to the same period in 2022 was 18.1%.

At the same time, the volume of loans for the purchase of housing in the primary market amounted to 7.08 trillion soums, and in the secondary market – 5.13 trillion soums.

According to the Central Bank, the balance of mortgage loans as of 1 October 2023 exceeded 55 trillion soums (increase by 1.3 times). The share of mortgage loans in the total volume of loans allocated to individuals (124 trillion soums) amounted to 41%.

About 24.1% of the allocated loans as of 1 October 2023 fell to share of Ipoteka Bank, 18.4% by the Business Development Bank, and 18.4% by the National Bank.
