Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and the Wool Industry, the Chairman of the Committee I. Ergashev and the Chairman of the Uzbekipaksanoat Association O. Jumayev held negotiations with a delegation consisting of professors from the Southwest University of China, as well as heads of sericulture and seed companies Muguan Ltd and Tongxiang Tonghui Seedlings Co., Ltd.

At the meeting, issues of establishing cooperation with the Scientific Research Institute of Sericulture in Tashkent and organizing a sericulture cluster in one of the regions of Uzbekistan were discussed.

The University of China and the above-mentioned Chinese companies plan to work together to create high-yielding varieties of mulberry and silkworm breeds suitable for the conditions of Uzbekistan.
