Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During negotiations in London between Uzbek diplomats and the head of the department of the British Ministry of Industry and Trade, Louis Colwell, issues of Uzbekistan’s membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO) and increasing product exports were discussed.
According to the Dunyo agency, the Uzbek side provided information on the country’s dynamic steps towards WTO membership, noting the signing of market access protocols with Japan, Israel and the Dominican Republic, as well as the completion of negotiations with Thailand.
The British side expressed its readiness to support Uzbekistan in its quest for WTO membership and conduct negotiations in this direction.
The parties also agreed to hold a webinar with the participation of entrepreneurs from both countries to increase Uzbek exports.
