Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 24 April 2025, the US dollar is worth 12,873 soums. Over the past week, the soum has strengthened by 0.63%. The previous week, it had increased by 0.10%, indicating a positive trend for the soum in the market.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that the effects of the soum’s decline, which occurred between 20 February and 14 April, have been fully mitigated. The strength of the soum may be based on the positive dynamics of the Russian ruble. The correlation that had been broken earlier has now been restored.

The domestic news environment in Uzbekistan remains stable as well. Perceived inflation in Uzbekistan is decreasing. According to estimates from people with average incomes, the consumer price index is declining. It is currently at its lowest level since December 2024.

This is a positive signal for the soum.

In the last week of April, the USD/UZS exchange rate is expected to remain within the range of 12,800-12,950 soums.
