Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Academy of Sports of Uzbekistan will be created in Uzbekistan. This is stipulated by the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On measures to organize the activities of the State Academy of Sports of Uzbekistan.”

According to this document, the academy will be formed on the basis of the Institute of Higher Sports Excellence.

Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year, the Research Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Specialists in Physical Culture and Sports and their branches will be transferred to it.

One of the main goals of the academy will be to train modern specialists based on the best experience of higher sports and educational institutions in other countries.

Within the framework of the academy, the State Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine will also be created in the form of a state institution. This center will coordinate the medical aspects of the preparation of national sports teams and provide their medical support at competitions.

In addition, for in-depth study of foreign languages and the history of Uzbekistan, a Center for Teaching the History of Uzbekistan and Foreign Languages will be created as part of the academy.
