Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A field meeting of the Senate Council of the Oliy Majlis was held in the Yakkasaray district, focused on the socio-economic development of the area and the improvement of living conditions for the population. The meeting was chaired by Senate Chairwoman Tanzila Narbaeva.
The Senate working group had preliminarily reviewed the execution of the district’s development programs and noted certain achievements in 2024. Key socio-economic indicators were exceeded:
Additionally, 13 investment projects totaling around 764.8 billion soums were launched in the district, creating over 500 new jobs. A total of 1,056 micro-projects were implemented in mahallas for 127.8 billion soums, leading to the creation of 2,938 jobs.
More than 100 unemployed young people out of 200 identified were employed. A total of 75 billion soums were allocated for strengthening the banks of the Burijar canal and landscaping the area. Out of 1,322 women included in the “Women's Notebook” module, 296 were provided with paid public work.
Alongside these achievements, some shortcomings were noted during the meeting:
Leaders of the responsible ministries and agencies presented information on the progress of the programs. Following the meeting, a resolution was adopted outlining further tasks for the socio-economic development of the Yakkasaray district.
The Senate will continue to monitor the implementation of the programs and take measures to address the identified issues.
