The Second Meeting of the "Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan – Türkiye" Dialogue Format Held in Ankara

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 January 2025, the second trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers, ministers of economy/trade, and ministers of transport of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye took place in Ankara, Türkiye.

Ilkhom Makhkamov, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, participated in the meeting, where key issues on the agenda were discussed, including foreign policy, regional cooperation, and the development of transport communications.

The primary focus was on strengthening ties in trade, economic, and investment sectors, as well as exploring prospects for further development of the region’s transport networks. The ministers emphasized the importance of creating a unified and efficient transport infrastructure to facilitate mutual deliveries and ensure the mobility of goods and people between the countries.

As a result of the meeting, the Ankara Declaration was signed — a final document outlining a comprehensive plan of measures aimed at enhancing cooperation in transport and expanding regional ties. This document will serve as the foundation for further deepening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye in key sectors.

Thus, the meeting in Ankara marked an important step towards creating closer integration between the three countries and ensuring sustainable development of regional transport and trade links.
