Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government resolution approved the Regulations on the state register of ancient written sources.

According to the Regulations, the state register is a document that records and controls the safety of ancient written sources.

The state register in electronic and printed form is maintained by the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan.

Information about sources included in the state register is open to the public and includes written monuments, historical documents and printed lithographs created before 1950.

Museums, libraries and all state organizations must provide the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan with information regarding their written sources, and other persons provide information on a voluntary basis.

When registering a written source, a certificate is issued.

In case of theft, loss of written sources, it is necessary to notify law enforcement agencies and the Center for Islamic Civilization of Uzbekistan within 1 working day.
