Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The public debt of Uzbekistan as of 1 July 2022 makes up US$25.9 billion, Deputy Finance Minister of Uzbekistan Odilbek Isakov said.
The state debt of Uzbekistan decreased by US$400 million compared to the beginning of the year.
According to him, the external public debt of Uzbekistan is US$23.2 billion. These funds were mainly directed to support the state budget ($6 billion), development of infrastructure, industry, agriculture, etc.
Some US$5.6 billion was directed for the development of the fuel and energy sector, US$2.5 billion for the transport sector and transport infrastructure, US$2.4 billion for agriculture and water management, US $2.2 billion for housing and communal services, US $1.1 billion for the chemical industry billion, to support entrepreneurship - - US $1.5 billion, etc.
Funds in the amount of US $700 million were raised for the development of education and medicine.
