Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An online meeting was held with the participation of Shuhrat Matkarimov, Deputy Director of the Department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyar Mukhammadsaidov, First Deputy Director of the Department, Shokhrukh Tuichiboyev, Chairman of the Association of Jewelers of Uzbekistan, and Mahmut Serbes, Chairman of the Board of LIZAY PIRLANTA.

During the meeting, participants discussed measures for implementing agreements between the governments of Uzbekistan and Türkiye aimed at developing six industrial sectors in Uzbekistan by leveraging Türkiye’s advanced expertise.

Under the agreements between the two governments, six key industries in Uzbekistan are set to benefit from Türkiye’s experience: jewelry, glass and construction materials production, leather industry, pharmaceuticals, and furniture manufacturing.

During the negotiations, representatives of the Association of Jewelers of Uzbekistan provided information on the ongoing reforms in the country’s jewelry industry and the new opportunities being created.
