The prosecutor’s office reveals violations of storage of seed seeds

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Officers of Department of Khorezm region under the General Prosecutor’s Office revealed violations of storage of cotton seed in 3 cotton factories, the cause of which was the negligence of officials, the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan said.

In particular, about 158 tonnes of cotton seeds worth 539.8 million soums from 2018 were infected and after treatments with chemicals, became completely unsuitable for use.

According to these facts, criminal case was initiated against officials of cotton factories under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and investigative actions are underway.
