The off-budget Tourism Support Fund under the State Committee for Tourism continues to provide subsidies to tour operators, travel agents and accommodation facilities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- “In accordance with the Regulation on the temporary procedure for the provision of subsidies to cover part of the costs of tour operators, tour agents and accommodation facilities can currently receive subsidies:

- tour operators and tour agents - residents of Uzbekistan for each served foreign tourist;

- accommodation facilities (hotels, camp sites and complexes, houses and recreation areas, boarding houses, campings, motels, guest houses, tent camps, sanatoriums and other facilities) providing hotel services (accommodation services).

The subsidy is allocated on a monthly basis on the basis of a monthly application of a business entity, submitted by the 5th day of the next month. So, the deadline for filing an application for January is 4 February.

Important: at the time of filing an application, a business entity should not be in the process of reorganization or liquidation, its activities should not be suspended in the manner prescribed by law.

The State Committee for Tourism, within 5 working days from the date of receipt of the application, checks the compliance of the documents with the requirements of the Regulations. If necessary, the Committee notifies the applicant in writing or through an electronic information system about the need to further study some issue. In this case, consideration of the application can be extended within another 5 calendar days.

The decision on the allocation or refusal of a subsidy is made within 1 business day, a copy of the decision is sent to the applicant on the day of adoption.

In case of refusal, the applicant can re-apply to the Committee within 2 weeks, attaching documents confirming the elimination of deficiencies. An application submitted after the expiration of this period is considered a new application.
