The next video-selective meeting of the ICT Ministry was held

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - On 12 June, the next expanded video-selector meeting of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications was held.

The results of the study conducted by the working group of the Ministry in the Surkhandarya, Ferghana, Andijan and Tashkent regions during April-May of this year were discussed.

The video-selective meeting was held by Minister Shukhrat Sadikov. In his speech, the Minister identified a number of tasks to modernize and expand the telecommunications infrastructure in Uzbekistan, improve the quality and range of telecommunications services, expand mobile coverage, and develop telecommunications infrastructure in remote and rural areas, tourist areas, roads and railways.

It was noted that after studying and discussing industry problems in the regions, a lot has been done locally, and, most importantly, it is felt in the lives of ordinary employees of the industry.

In particular, it was specifically noted that 1,750 km of fiber-optic communication lines have been built to date, 79 branch facilities have been serviced in districts and cities, in order to provide modern telecommunications services to the population, the number of broadband ports is gradually increasing.

At the same time, clear instructions were given to improve the quality and effectiveness of the organization of discipline control of subordinate structures and organizations, as well as their regional divisions, improve the quality and volume of services provided by enterprises and organizations, increase revenues and ensure their financial sustainability.

Video selection session was held in the analytical and critical spirit.

At the end of the meeting, according to tradition, employees who have made a worthy contribution to the development of the industry over the years have been awarded with letters of appreciation from the Ministry and memorable gifts.
